Who we are
Beamstage is a webinar platform published by VOLLAND SARL, a French société à responsabilité limitée with a share capital of 10,000 euros, with its registered office at 357 avenue de Pessicart, 06100 Nice, France, registered under number 942 831 538 RCS Nice, VAT number FR40942831538. The service is hosted on the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare, Inc. operates the servers, the database, the object storage and the video pipeline that Beamstage runs on.
What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of Beamstage: the marketing site, the application, the organisation subdomains in the form your-org.beamstage.app, any custom domain you connect, the public registration page of each webinar, the live room and the replay pages.
You accept them when you create an account, or when you join an organisation that already has one. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are entitled to bind it.
Accounts, organisations and teams
- You sign in with an email address and a password, or with a Google account. A new email address must be verified before the account can be used.
- Everything in Beamstage belongs to an organisation. One person can belong to several. Each organisation has its own webinars, roles, branding, plan and invoices.
- Team roles are owner, admin and member. Owners and admins manage billing, invite people and create webinars.
- Invitations are sent by email and expire after 48 hours.
- You are responsible for what the people you invite do inside your organisation, and for keeping your credentials confidential. Write to [[EMAIL SECURITE]] if you believe an account has been compromised.
What the service does
Beamstage lets an organisation schedule a webinar, publish a registration page in its own colours, collect registrations, run the session live and publish the replay.
- The registration page collects a first name, a last name and an email address. Each registrant receives a personal join link.
- The live room carries a video stage, a single chat channel, polls, emoji reactions, raise hand, a participant list with moderation, and live subtitles with translation as a paid option.
- Each webinar picks one of two broadcast modes. Standard mode delivers low-latency HLS to the audience. Real-time mode places every viewer in a WebRTC session below one second and is a paid option.
- A session can be recorded and republished as a replay behind a signed link.
- Analytics report registrations, attendance rate, peak concurrency, watch time and engagement, and can be exported as CSV.
Plans, quotas and billing
- A free tier sits alongside paid plans. Plans are billed per organisation through Stripe, and a single active subscription carries the plan together with its options.
- Quotas apply to webinars and meetings per month, which share a single monthly allowance, and to registrants per webinar, concurrent viewers, stored replay minutes, replay retention, team seats, custom roles, real-time mode, custom domains and live subtitles.
- A webinar spends one slot of that monthly allowance when it is published, and a meeting spends one when it is started. The allowance is counted per calendar month and starts again at the beginning of the next one.
- When a quota is reached, the action that would exceed it is refused: publishing another webinar, starting another meeting, or a viewer joining beyond the concurrency cap.
- Prices are stated excluding tax unless indicated otherwise. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. You cancel from the billing portal, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
- We may change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.
Selling tickets
An organisation can charge for a webinar. Payments run through Stripe Connect on the organisation’s own connected account: the organisation is the seller towards its attendees, sets the price, issues any invoice that is due and handles refunds. Beamstage takes a service fee on each ticket and is never a party to the sale.
Beamstage never sees and never stores a card number. Stripe collects and processes card data on its own systems.
Your content and your attendees
- Everything you upload or broadcast stays yours: your logo, your branding, your slides, your recordings, your registrant list.
- You grant us the technical licence we need to run the service: to store, encode, transcode, translate, deliver and back up that content, for as long as you keep it on the platform and for the sole purpose of operating Beamstage for you.
- For the personal data of your registrants and attendees, you are the controller and we are the processor. The Data Processing Agreement sets those terms out and prevails over this section for anything concerning personal data.
Acceptable use
You must not use Beamstage to:
- broadcast or store content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to distribute;
- harass, threaten or expose the participants of a session;
- send unsolicited bulk email through our sending domain. The email Beamstage sends is transactional: confirmations, reminders, replay notices and product notifications, not marketing campaigns;
- work around quotas, probe or overload the infrastructure, or reverse engineer the platform except where the law expressly allows it;
- resell access to the platform under your own name without a written agreement.
We monitor bounce and complaint rates per organisation, because email reputation is shared between all of them. An organisation whose sending damages that reputation can be throttled or suspended. In case of manifest abuse we may suspend the organisation immediately, and we tell you why.
Recording and consent
Recording is started by the organisation, not by us. When a session is recorded, Beamstage states it on the registration page and displays a recording indicator inside the room.
You remain responsible for telling participants that they are being recorded, for collecting whatever consent your jurisdiction requires, and for what you do with the recording afterwards. Some countries require the explicit consent of every person filmed or recorded.
Availability, early access, no service level yet
We aim to keep Beamstage available at all times and we publish incidents on our status page, but at this stage we do not commit to a service level agreement. Beamstage builds on components that their own vendors label as beta, in particular the real-time media plane and low-latency HLS delivery.
Performance figures published on our site, including the latency measured in standard mode, are observations from our own tests. They describe what we measured; they are not a contractual commitment.
We carry out maintenance. When it is planned and disruptive, we announce it in advance.
Services we depend on
Beamstage cannot run without Cloudflare (hosting, database, object storage, video, AI transcription), Resend (transactional email) and Stripe (payments). An outage or a policy change at any of them affects the service. The full list, with what each one processes, is in the Privacy Policy and in the Data Processing Agreement.
If you connect a custom domain, you keep control of your DNS zone. A proxied CNAME on your side breaks the WebSocket connections the live room needs, so we run an automated check before activating the domain and we ask you to leave the record unproxied.
Suspension and termination
- You can close your organisation at any time from the settings.
- We can suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, for invoices left unpaid after a reminder, or where the law requires it.
- On termination, access to the application ends. You have 30 days to export your data, after which we delete it as described in the Privacy Policy and in the Data Processing Agreement.
Intellectual property
The platform, its design system, its code and the Beamstage name and marks belong to VOLLAND SARL. Nothing in these terms transfers them to you. You receive a right to use the service for the duration of your subscription, and nothing more.
If you send us feedback or a feature suggestion, we may use it freely and owe you nothing for it.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it stands. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, in particular any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of uninterrupted operation.
Our total liability towards you over any twelve-month period is capped at the amounts you paid us during that period. We are not liable for indirect loss, in particular loss of revenue, loss of audience, loss of opportunity or reputational harm.
None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular gross negligence, wilful misconduct and personal injury. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes
We may change the service and these terms. A material change is announced by email or inside the application at least 30 days before it applies. Continuing to use Beamstage after that date means you accept the new version; if you refuse it, you may terminate before it takes effect.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably goes before the courts of Nice, France. A consumer keeps the right to bring the matter before the courts of their place of residence and to use an out-of-court dispute resolution scheme.
